Cleaning Quote Calculator

Estimate job costs, labor hours, a quote price and profit using your own assumptions. Compare markup, target-margin and recurring-service pricing.

Use this calculator to build a cleaning-service quote from estimated labor hours, labor cost, supplies, travel, overhead and your desired profit.

Every cleaning business prices differently. Use your own labor, cost and margin assumptions and adjust for the property, service level and local market.

Use your own labor and cost assumptions; no cleaning rates or service multipliers are preset. The dollar sign is generic: use one currency throughout. Blank optional costs and references are treated as zero or left unavailable.

Calculations run locally in your browser. Your inputs are not saved.

Estimate job costs and choose a quote method.

Job details

For identification only. Job type does not apply a pricing multiplier.

Labor

Use your actual or estimated loaded labor cost, not necessarily the employee’s wage.

Direct job costs

Overhead

Pricing approach

Markup is a percentage of job cost; it is not the same as profit margin.

Optional references

Optional customer-total estimate only. Tax is kept separate from revenue and profit. Verify the tax rate and taxability that apply to your business.

Optional reference only. Property size does not estimate labor hours or affect the quote.

Example: Residential Cleaning Quote

Example only: 2 cleaners × 3 hours = 6 labor hours. At $25 per hour, labor is $150. Add $15 for supplies and $10 for travel for $175 in direct costs. A 15% overhead allocation is $26.25, bringing the modeled job cost to $201.25. A 30% markup gives an unrounded quote of $261.625, estimated profit of $60.375 and a margin of approximately 23.08%.

About this calculator

Pricing a cleaning job

Cleaning quotes should account for more than hourly wages. Supplies, travel, payroll burden, overhead and non-billable operating costs can materially affect profitability.

  • A markup percentage and a profit margin percentage are not the same. This calculator supports both pricing approaches.
  • This calculator provides a planning estimate and does not determine what customers in your market will accept.

Sales tax and property size

Tax uses only the rate you enter and is shown as a customer-total estimate; it does not increase modeled revenue or profit. Property size is a reference metric only and does not estimate cleaning time.

Planning estimate only, not a customer-market price, payroll calculation or tax/accounting advice. This Tool uses only the assumptions you enter. No postal-code rates, integrations, customer records or saved quotes are used.
